Right now, the main requirement for would-be contributors is to treat this wiki like documentation, rather than a discussion forum or a place for taking notes. The guidelines for editing this wiki will be allowed to develop further over time.
The Official ADCIRC Manual is maintained on the web by the CCATS Lab at the Institute of Marine Sciences at the University of North Carolina. The pages are maintained at http://www.adcirc.org. The Official ADCIRC Manual is definitive and none of the information therein will be repeated here.
The ADCIRC Tutorial exists to ease new users into ADCIRC. Currently, it only contains an introduction to the use of ADCIRC in parallel (PADCIRC).
An ADCIRC Users Guide has been started to provide context for the Official Users Manual, i.e., to provide a rationale for the various ADCIRC features and capabilities as well as examples of how to use them to approach the modeling of various physical situations.
To get started, we are creating a FAQ from questions asked on the ADCIRC mailing list.
The purpose of the ADCIRC Developers Guide is develop and refine the documentation of how we go about ADCIRC development, as well as why and how the various algorithms have been implemented in ADCIRC.
